Abstract :
The experimental results of the radiation characteristics of a dielectric loaded biconical horn which radiates circular polarization are presented. The test horn was designed to radiate circular polarization in the X band. It is seen that the pattern directivity of the biconical horn in the vertical plane is significantly increased due to dielectric loading, and a desired beamwidth in the vertical plane may be obtained by a suitable dielectric loading.
