Abstract :
Sections of groove guide can be simply connected together with a loss of less than 0.2 dB even at 100 GHz. A gap of up to 1 mm between the sections introduced an additional loss of only about 0.1 dB and alignment tolerances needed to be no better than ±0.5 mm.
