Abstract :
The switching mechanism of a distribution of fine particles is not understood quantitatively. A computational model that calculates the switching field of a magnetic fine particle of arbitrary shape, accurately accounting for particle interaction, has yet to be developed. This paper discusses some of the problems in constructing numerical models that address this problem from first principles.
