Abstract
A microwave tunable magnetostatic surface-wave delay-line oscillator which employs a single GaAs monolithic amplifier chip in the feedback loop has been developed. No directional coupler is needed, and a single-mode oscillation can be tuned continuously from 4.82 to 6.39 GHz without frequency jumping. At 6.1 GHz, an output power of 4.4 dBm was measured with a phase noise of -100 dBc/Hc at 10 kHz offset from the oscillation frequency.
