Abstract :
Much has been written on the need for the comprehensive and continuing development of engineers in industry. Less has been said of the views of international employers or how their requirements differ from those experienced in Britain. Nevertheless British training, whether provided via industry or by further and higher education establishments, competes for overseas training against similar organisations in Europe and America and possesses an enviable record of success. This paper presents a review of experience gained in providing post-experience training for electrical power engineers employed by a number of overseas companies concerned with the processing of raw materials
