Abstract :
An inductive storage and transfer circuit (single step Meatgrinder) has been operated in the 30 kA regime using a fuse/CVR (Constant Voltage Resistor) combination as the opening switches. A energy transfer efficiency (percentage of energy in storage inductor delivered to an uncoupled load inductance) of 38.4% was measured.
