Abstract :
It is theoretically shown that perfect AR coating deposited on normal semiconductor lasers (active layer thickness ¿0.2 ¿m, ¿ ¿ 1.5 ¿m) can have an equivalent transmission loss ¿0.5 dB and a residual power reflectivity ¿1% for input beams coming from air.
