Abstract :
REMGUN III is a railgun system built around a 6.7 MJ homopolar generator and is part of the RARDE research programme into electromagnetic launch systems. This paper reviews the installation of this system within a range complex, describes the associated range and gun instrumentation and gives the results of the initial sub-system and system trials.
