Abstract :
The threshold effects which occur for two DBTV transmission formats using time compression multiplexing to achieve increased capacity, by combining two TV signals on one FM carrier, are compared with the currently proposed single TV system. The effect of limiting the pre-emphasised signals on the C/N level at which truncation noise occurs is investigated.
