Abstract :
A novel configuration of an Er-doped fibre ring laser for simultaneous multiwavelength lasing is proposed. An arrayed-waveguide N×N wavelength multiplexer selects lasing wavelengths and forms plural ring laser cavities. Independently controllable four-wavelength lasing with a stable spacing of 1.6nm is demonstrated
