Abstract :
The present status of MMIC-fed phased-arrays, is reviewed through the results of a workshop on the subject. Problem areas are identified and recommendations for future developments are presented. The paper addresses five aspects of the MMIC phased-array design: array architecture, MMIC-to-radiating -element interface, RF signal distribution, performance monitoring and fault isolation, and computer -aided design tools for MMIC arrays.
