  • Abstract
The paper shows that morphological dilation and erosion preserve strict sense stationarity, derives the 2-D probability distribution and density functions of dilated and eroded stationary memoryless sources, and presents numerical results for a memoryless uniform source, which shows identical closed-form autocovariance functions of dilated and eroded sources
