Abstract :
Current pay-TV systems provide conditional access services using smart cards as security devices. Pay-TV piracy makes use of several devices to log and filter messages addressed to smart cards. This paper presents a new conditional access system, compliant with ISO7816 and ETR289, to prevent message filtering and man-in-the-middle attacks.
