Abstract :
Sidelobe properties of a complementary code used for the clear atmosphere observations by mesosphere-stratosphere-troposphere (MST) radars are discussed. An analytic expression of sidelobe performance is obtained. Complementary codes generally have larger sidelobe suppression than the Barker codes, but the sidelobelevels depend strongly on the atmospheric fluctuations and the radar system parameters.
