Abstract :
The spatial network method was used for the 3-D time-domain analysis of a magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) propagated on a ferrite slab loaded in a rectangular waveguide. Also, the field distributions of an MSSW in a rectangular waveguide partially filled with a ferrite slab were simulated and the field distributions and time responses were obtained for various medium parameters. From these results, it becomes evident that the treatment of MSSWs by the spatial network method is appropriate and valid. It was found that the main field element is the longitudinal component of the magnetic field
