Abstract
A simple horn suitable for illuminating a reflector subtending an angle near
in the 4- and 6-GHz communications bands is described. The horn has excellent voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) characteristics, with cross-polar sidelobes less than -22 dB across the entire 1.74:1 bandwidth. From the background information presented, a horn of similar form could be developed for more general requirements.
