Abstract
Tapered dielectric rod antennas of rectangular cross section are developed for possible application in millimeter-wave dielectric integrated circuits. Design principles for a maximum gain design are described, and an example is given. Experimental results for antennas designed for low sidelobes and for maximum gain are presented.
