Abstract :
A system wide dynamic performance monitoring system (DPMS) using microcomputer technologies is presented. Design concepts are discussed to meet the system requirements. Special features such as oscillation detection and simultaneous recordings at several remote stations are proposed to capture overall system responses. The effectiveness of the DPMS is shown as compared with other field-test records. At present, the DPMS provides very valuable information about system analysis, planning and operations
