Abstract :
This paper describes the implementation of the simultaneous solution of the control and power systems equations. When both sets of equations are solved separately, time delays are inevitably introduced. These time delays may cause severe numerical instabilities and even incorrect results. Examples are presented to illustrate these problems. The feasibility of an efficient simultaneous-solution implementation is shown with relevant test cases
