Abstract :
The relative dielectric constant ¿r and dielectric loss tan ¿ of snow are measured at 9.5 GHz under several temperature and density conditions. The received microwave level degradation of an aperture antenna with snow on it is explained quantitatively by using the obtained dielectric characteristics.
