Abstract :
The security of the Okamoto public-key cryptosystem is analysed. If some secret keys of this system are chosen inadequately, the known-plaintext attack is applicable to obtain all secret keys. To prevent the proposed cryptanalysis, the necessary condition for the secret keys is shown.
