Abstract
A CD900-like system using Gold codes and nonadaptive diversity yielded asymptotic average probability of symbol error Pa of 6 Ã 10-3, 6 Ã 10-4, 10-3 and 9 Ã 10-3, for diversity order 1, 2, 3 and 5, respectively. An adaptive diversity scheme reduced Pa to 6 Ã 10-5. Walsh codes had a minimum Pa of 4 Ã 10-2.
