            Abstract : 
The magnetic properties of the ternary system RE(Pr, Nd, Sm, Dy)-TM (Fe, Co)-N were investigated. Significant improvement was detected with nitriding as the magnetization was increased particularly in the RE-TM-N system with respect to the original RE-TM alloys. Nitriding process accelerates decomposition of original RE-TM compounds and generates decomposed phases such as RE-N, TM (αFe,βCo).
