Abstract :
The development of power conditioning for space applications is considered. The basic topologies of power systems are described. They differ by the amplitude of tbe distributed voltage range and involve different types of power-conditioning equipment. The power cell topologies and their associated modes of control are detailed. The state of the art in both topologies and and equipment is reported, including applications drawn from the space station Columbus and low and geostationary orbit spacecrafts
