Abstract :
Cauchy noise has a probability density function that falls away only slowly in the tail region, and it can be a useful model of non-Gaussian interferences that may be described as impulsive or spiky. Such interference is quite often encountered in practice, and here formulas pertaining to the envelope statistics of narrowband Cauchy noise are presented.
