Abstract :
This paper describes the design analysis of the saturable reactor for a magnetic frequency tripler. An optimum design constants are investigated for the design parameters of rated output power. allowable temperature rise of the winding and cooling conditions. The core dimensions and the quality of the material which minimize weight, cost or losses are made clear by the numerical analysis. These analytical results are useful in establishing the optimum design method of the equipment.
