Abstract
Preparation of small alloy particles of Fe37 Ni28 B34 and Fe52 Ni37 B11 is achieved by reduction of the metal ions using KBH4 in aqueous solution. Möss-bauer and X-ray diffraction studies show that the particles are amorphous. Mössbauer spectra obtained after annealing experiments indicate that the alloys are stable up to about 600 K.
