Abstract :
The motion of one-dimensional head-to-head walls in orthorhombic materials is investigated through numerical integration of Gilbert equation. Numerical results reveal that qualitative characteristic of head-to-head wall motion is similar to that of Bloch wall motion in uniaxial materials. Analytical solutions that reproduce numerical results very well are given. The motion of slanted walls where the normal to wall plane is slanted from the easy axis is also investigated. When the slanting angle ψ is small, the motion of slanted walls hardly differs from that of head-to-head walls. As ψ increases, however, peak velocities and low field mobilities increase significantly.
