Abstract
The electrical and electroluminescent properties of Au/phthalocyanine Langmuir-Blodgett film/ZnSe diodes are reported. Under forward bias, and at room temperature, the devices exhibited blue-white electroluminescence. Further investigation revealed two peaks in the spectrum: at 460nm and at 500nm. The 460nm peak coincides with the maximum output in the photoluminescence spectrum and is attributed to band-to-band recombination.
