Abstract :
Improvements in the performance of a loaded, broadband HF wire antenna are reported. An empirical technique, based on simulations obtained from a method of moments code (NEC), was used to design the antenna. The predicted VSWR and efficiency performance indicated its superiority over similar configurations. VSWR measurements confirmed the computed results.
