Abstract :
This article summarizes the available options for solving the problem of ensuring adequate generation supply and proposes a methodology that offers some advantages over other approaches currently in operation. It presents the main options currently available for ensuring adequate generation supply and reliability and presents an overview of the approaches currently implemented at the Eastern ISOs in the United States.
