Abstract
The experimental set-up and techniques for the measurement of the electromagnetic fields on the surface above metal targets submerged in salt water are described. The variation of the electric field with respect to the depth of the scattering target is discussed. An attempt is made to relate the measured field components to the size and the shape of the scattering targets.
