Abstract :
By using a large-scale write head model for perpendicular recording the relations of the peak value (Hyp) of the perpendicular write field component and the spatial resolution of the field distribution in X-direction with dimensions of the head model have been studied. The calculated results from a reluctance model are also presented to explain the measured results.
