            Abstract : 
A simplified model for recording with a probe head on double layer perpendicular media is presented. This model includes a variation of the recorded magnetization with depth in the medium. The writing process is treated by matrix inversion of the field transforms and a simplified transition demagnetization due to medium motion. Comparisons with experiment show good agreement with thickness and spacing dependence of pulse shape and D50density.
