For pt.I see ibid. vol.35, no.7, p.881-901, 1988. Applying the theory developed in pt.I, the classic singular perturbation problem is reexamined in terms of unfoldings of a generalized nonlinear vector field. This approach is based on a bifurcation point of view.<>
