Abstract :
The integrals over patches that are close to the self-patch are calculated by expanding the factors in the integrand in power series. The values are computed analytically up to first order in the linear size of the patch. This procedure applies to patches for which the distance between the centers is of the same order of magnitude as the size of the patch. The same formulas are useful in steady-state scattering problems.
