Abstract :
Describes a new control method for a noise reduction system developed to eliminate blur and picture trail in moving pictures using image processing. The method uses temporal information as well as other parameters such as frequency, amplitude, and picture pattern. The technique has been applied to the noise reduction circuit of the MUSE decoding system (Japanese HDTV)
