Abstract :
Presents a novel approach for the luminance compensation problem which utilizes only the nonlinear gamma compensated components of the luminance signal. The proposed technique is based on nonlinear networks whose coefficients have been adaptively trained to perform luminance compensation. The result obtained can be easily implemented in real time, and the compensation scheme offers versatility, in the sense that it can be applied either at the transmitter or at the receiver
