Abstract :
A minimal parameter infinite-impulse-response (IIR) cascaded adaptive notch filter is presented for the estimation of a single sinusoid embedded in noise. The Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) is derived for the suggested filter which takes into account both the sinusoid and noise components. This leads to a more precise performance evaluation of the filter.
