Abstract :
An experimental study of a modified-CSRZ DPSK modulation format (MCSRZ-DPSK) is reported. Superior single-channel transmission performance and nonlinear tolerance were demonstrated for MCSRZ-DPSK at 10 Gbit/s, in comparison with other DPSK formats including CSRZ-DPSK, RZ-DPSK and NRZ-DPSK.
