Abstract
A theory for the analysis of noise performance in active mixers is presented. An implementation of this theory using current simulation tools, as well as a more numerically efficient and accurate method, is included. The theory is used to analyze the noise figure of a 1-GHz monolithic mixer and agrees well with measured values
