International comparison GT-RF 78-14: power (1 mW) at 50 MHz in 50-Ω coaxial line

An international comparison of power standards at 50 MHz was organized at the 1978 meeting of the Groupe de Travail pour les Grandeurs aux Radiofrequences. Eleven national laboratories from Canada (pilot laboratory), USA, Japan, Australia, France, FRG, Italy, UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Hungary participated. The traveling standards were two commercially available thermistor mounts supplied by the pilot laboratory. The measured values of effective efficiency fall within a range of 0.15% for the majority of participants. Periodic remeasurement at the pilot laboratory showed no evidence of drift over the five-year span of the intercomparison
