Abstract
A bubble was translated in continuous circular motion in a rotating gradient experiment. Bias pulses were applied to a circulating S =1 bubble. As a result of the pulses, a Bloch line pair was added to the S =1, p =0 bubble, and a Bloch line pair was either added to or subtracted from the S =1, p =2 bubble. The risetime and pulse amplitude needed to cause a state change were measured. The experimental data agreed with calculated values for risetimes less than 150 ns in duration. Data from the annihilation of Bloch lines in the S =1, p =2 bubble yielded information on the Bloch line mobility
