Abstract :
A method is presented to determine the active input impedance of an infinite array of rectangular patches embedded in a dielectric layer. The reaction integral equation is used to include details of feed structure into the formulation. The matching performance over wide scan angles of the printed antenna with a dielectric cover is studied. The results obtained by the present method are compared with the theoretical and experimental results reported earlier, for an array without a cover layer.
