Abstract :
A three-port echo canceller (EC) is proposed. Observing signals on both the 4- and 2-wire paths, the new EC can track echo-path time variances even during double talk (DT), and requires no changeover at the beginning or end of DT, thus eliminating DT detection. The echo synthesiser possesses guaranteed stability without testing.
