Conference Fees: Are They Out of Control? [President´s Message]

There are always a few complaints about IA society conferences, and these usually center around the registration fee paid versus the perceived benefit obtained. Perceived benefit is a highly individual issue, and the author (who is also the society President) cannot realistically address the more personal aspect of conference value. He does, however, offer a number of insights that readers might find useful regarding conference registration fees and how they are determined.
