Abstract
The authors report on the design and performance of a multichannel waveform digitizer system for use with the multiple sample ionization chamber (MUSIC) detector at the Bevalac. 128 channels of 20-MHz flash ADC (analog-to-digital) plus 256-word deep memory are housed in a single crate. Digital thresholds and hit pattern logic facilitate zero suppression during readout, which is performed over a standard VME bus
