Abstract :
Responding to increased oil prices and reduced energy supplies, a number of US industries, schools, and local governments are acutely reducing their energy expenditures by using computer-based energy management systems. Although exact figures are not available, Honeywell has estimated on the basis of a survey that the energy savings amounts to billions of dollars and millions of barrels of oil.
