Abstract :
Estimation of both stator and rotor resistances are dealt with, in order to monitor the thermal behaviour of the induction machine in real time. For this, a reduced-order electrical model is presented and introduced in extended Kalman filters. An experimental set-up is described and resistance measurement difficulties are underlined. Experimental results and comparison of the different model extensions to meet accurate estimations are discussed.
