Abstract :
We propose a novel approach of chirp compensation using four-wave mixing. This method is applied to a 10-Gb/s directly modulated laser for the transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF). This result indicates that 80-km SMF transmission is successfully achieved with less than 0.1-dB transmission penalty.
